Tattoos and piercings..Live and let live

Young and old have different ways of expressing themselves. In hair colors, body piercing, tattoos, scaring etc. By the time I was a teenager, I , along with all my girl friends , had our ears pierced. It was something you just had to have. Boys had one ear pierced. Later on , some of us had tattoos done, so cool it was. Whinny the Pooh or some other cartoon character, boy, was it ever cool then. Nowadays, it seems that a simple pierced ear is not as cool as it once was. It’s now other parts of the body that get the piercing .

The bigger the better it seems when it comes to tattoos. And the weirdest place the better when it comes to piercing. The eyebrows, the nose, the cheeks, the lips, the belly button, the tongue and below the lip between the chin and lower lip. Also in hidden places. The penis, the clitoris , the labia,the nipples.. etc…where the needle can go…so can the ring.

When my daughter first came home and talked to me about a belly button ring, it was ok..just a little belly ring. But as she grew older, more holes were showing up and more tattoos. People were starring at her when we were at a MacDonald’s one day, as people always do when they are not at ease with something. Older people seem to be the ones to stare the most as it isn’t something that they see as common as the broom in their closets. Some of the older generation, SOME , not all, are totally against these body arts.. That generation is used to seeing army guys with big eagle or I LOVE MOM tattoos ,,but that’s about it.

They seem to think that it’s a drug addict or on that same rank. But what they probably don’t know is that most people with body arts, are lawyers, doctors ,,,all highly distinguished people.

Why lift your nose at the people you see express themselves .They want to live ,so let live I say…It’s a way of expressing themselves, that sometimes ends up being an addiction. Some will not stop piercing or tattooing until there isn’t any room left . Whatever reason they have for doing these arts on their bodies, it’s totally their business and shouldn’t be judged by it.

I would just love to be as brave as them ,,I would probably have many holes and tattoos on my body also. But I’ll have to stick to changing my hair dew once in a while to get the same ,* I’m Bad aren‘t I * , feeling,,,hahaha

I say why not Live ,,,,and Let Live....after all ,,ya only live once....
